Our history - a brief sketch

After 15 years of theoretical research in fuzzy logic, Prof. Erich Peter Klement founded the FLLL with the intention of supporting the local industry with knowledge in this rather new area. The history can be summarized as follows:

  • 2008: Academic partner of the K1-COMET Center Software Competence Center Hagenberg (SCCH)
  • 2008: Academic partner of the K2-COMET Center Austrian Center of Competence in Mechatronics (ACCM)
  • 2006: Partner of the EU FP6-NEST STRP-Project SynTex ("Measuring Feelings and Expectations Associated with Texture", main contractor: Profactor GmbH Steyr)
  • 2005: Partner of the EU FP6-IST STRP-Project DynaVis ("Dynamically Reconfigurable Quality Control for Manufacturing and Production Processes Using Learning Machine Vision", main contractor: Profactor GmbH Steyr)
  • 2005: Partner in the GEN-AU II Project "Ultrasensitive Proteomics and Genomics II" (main contractor: Institute of Biophysics, University of Linz)
  • 2002: Partner in the GEN-AU Project "Ultra-Sensitive Proteomics und Genomics" (main contractor: Institute of Biophysics, University of Linz)
  • 2002: Partner of the EU FP5 RTD-Project AMPA ("Automatic Measurement Plausibility and Quality Assurance", main contractor: AVL List, Graz)
  • 2000: Publication of the monograph "Triangular Norms"
  • 2000: Academic partner of the Linz Center of Competence in Mechatronics (LCM)
  • 1999: Academic partner of the Software Competence Center Hagenberg (SCCH)
  • 1998: Long-term partnership with Profactor GmbH Steyr
  • 1996: Subpartner of Uni Software Plus in the ESPRIT-Projekt REFORM ("A Reusable Framework for Rolling Mills", main contractor: Siemens AG, Erlangen)
  • 1996: Long-term partnership with SONY DADC Austria and Uni Software Plus
  • 1995: Presentation of the Pilot and Demonstration Workplace Fuzzy Logic
  • 1994: Beginning of project business in Hagenberg
  • 1993: Move to the Softwarepark Hagenberg
  • 1991: Lab founded by Prof. Erich Peter Klement
  • 1979: First international Linz Seminar on Fuzzy Set Theory
  • 1976: Start of research in fuzzy logic by Prof. Erich Peter Klement
